TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE HIRE OF WICKETS
Maximum 4 players per lane.
Bookings payments and cancelations:
All bookings for the hire of Wickets facilities must be pre-booked and paid in full online.
The person by whom the booking is made must be over 18 years of age and shall be considered the ‘customer’. If bookings are made on behalf of an organisation or a club, that organisation or club must be named at the booking process and shall be considered the ‘customer’ and shall be jointly and severally liable along with the person who makes the booking.
The hours of facility hire must include preparation and clear out time
The Hirer shall not use the centre for any purpose other than that specified on the booking confirmation email.
Bookings can be made online all year round. To confirm your booking full payment must be made at the time of booking which will done by secure credit card payment when you check out your basket. You will then receive a confirmation email that details all bookings and it will confirm the times and dates.
Rearrangements and cancellations can be made in your account login area up to 48 hours before your booking time. Please note that once your booking has been made and you have received your confirmation email – no refunds or credits will be given if any cancellations take place within 48 hours of the activity commencing. If a cancellation is made with more than 48 hours’ notice then you will be given a credit back in to your Wickets account, you will not be given a monetary refund.
Wickets reserve the right to refuse application without being required to give any reason for such refusal.
Public Liability: Clubs, Schools, Universities, Corporations & Associations etc must produce a valid copy of their Public Liability Insurance document (£5,000,000 cover) prior to the start date of hire. Failure to do so may prevent the use of Wickets facilities.
Use and care of the premises
The Hirer shall not use the centre for any purpose other than that specified on the booking confirmation email.
Reasonable care must be taken to protect any surface or equipment that is likely to suffer damage as a result of hire.
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that ALL batsmen/women are wearing and use the appropriate protective equipment. U18s must wear cricket helmets when using the net facilities.
Wickets accepts no responsibility for accidents or injuries which occur under parental, club or other hiring of our facilities. By making a booking you agree to a ‘play at your own risk’ policy.
If the premises are not fully vacated by the time given for the function to end, a surcharge will be made for the extra time. (£1 per minute)
The Hirer shall agree to repay to Wickets all expenses which may be incurred by them in cleaning, repairing, making good or replacing any part of Wickets buildings or the contents thereof which may be lost, damaged or destroyed in consequence of the Hirer’s use of Wickets facilities.
The Hirer shall indemnify Wickets from and against all costs, claims, expenses or damage incurred or suffered by Wickets arising either directly or indirectly out of the use of the Hirer of the hired facility and equipment of Wickets.
When hiring a bowling machine lane, you receive 50 balls, for every ball not returned there is a £5 fee to be paid.
The Hirer shall not carry out any alteration to the buildings or fittings, nor shall he/she fix or make fixings for any apparatus, equipment or decoration without prior consent from Wickets.
Hirers must observe the maximum capacity in net lanes.
The maximum lane capacity is 4 people.
The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that all persons utilising the facilities hired are properly attired for the purpose for which the hall is hired. In most cases this will be cricket whites, tracksuits, training shirts and non-marking sports trainers.
Footwear that has been worn outside, or which is likely to dirty or mark the floor must not be worn. Spikes are prohibited. The decision of Wickets or duly authorised personnel as to whether attire or footwear is considered suitable shall be final and binding.
All persons using the bowling machine (BOLA) must watch the demo video or receive training from Wickets staff prior to hire. The minimum age for use of the bowling machine is 18. All persons under the age of 18 must be supervised by an appropriately trained adult. Wickets reserves the right to refuse use of the bowling machine. It is the hirer’s responsibility to come and ask a member of staff for the appropriate training should they need it.
No consumption of food in the net lanes or arenas.
The facility is a non-smoking and vaping site. Smoking is not permitted in any part of Wickets premises
No animals are permitted on the premises other than a dog belonging to a registered blind person
Wickets reserves the right to dispose as it deems fit of any property left on the premises if such property is not claimed within 1 month of discovery.
